Botox®

Aesthetic and clinical forms of botulinum toxin are also known as BOTOX, JEUVEAU, DYSPORT, and XEOMIN. These are current injectables that temporarily reduce and/or eliminate facial lines and wrinkles, medically known as rhytids. Because they are so commonly performed today, injections of these neuromodulators may seem like simple procedures.  You’ll often hear, “it’s so common and it’s just a few shots, so no big deal, right?”  However, it’s actually both a highly detailed ART and a SCIENCE. Only a properly trained and experienced injector/healthcare professional should perform these procedures.

It seems like everyone, at just about every place is injecting these days. At Genesis Med Spa, we believe that our highly detailed approach to our aesthetic injections is what sets us apart. Facial Aesthetics is our focus, all day…every day. There are 42 muscles in the face. Therefore, it is vital that the person who performs your injections completely understands facial anatomy and muscular physiology. It is essential that your aesthetic proceduralist knows where, why and how best to direct your injections in order to achieve optimal and consistent results.

The most commonly treated areas are frown lines (between the eyes), forehead lines/creases and crow’s feet near the eyes.

Injections can also be used in other areas that can effectively address thick bands in the neck, chin (i.e. flattening/dimpling), strong jaw muscles (i.e. teeth grinding/TMJ syndrome), upper lip lines (smoker’s lines), and to diminish a “gummy” smile.

Fillers

Success performing Hyaluronic Acid based fillers takes a winning combination. It incudes talent, an artistic eye, procedural experience and a complete scientific knowledge directed towards this medium. Although Aesthetics is a SCIENCE, it takes SUPERIOR ARTISTRY and attention to DETAIL to master facial filler injections.

The problem with Aesthetic Medicine today is that it can be the “Wild West”. Virtually anyone these days with a medical license can inject filler into willing patients. Because of that, more and more we hear of botched jobs done by inexperienced injectors. This is even at the most reputable of practices.

Genesis Med Spa emphasizes the true artistic talent of your injector as being vital. However, it becomes even more important when it comes to filler. Your injector must also MASTER facial anatomy. For example, accidental and unrecognized injections of filler into arterial vessels in the face can have dire consequences including blindness and skin necrosis/death.

We are very, “nuts and bolts” detailed about our filler procedures and employ numerous techniques to achieve safe and optimal outcomes. We employ use of safety cannulas, golden mean calipers, goniometers, rulers and carefully placed lines/markings based on facial anatomical landmarks and the latest science to assure proper placement of fillers.  Remember the saying, “measure twice, and cut once?”  Well we measure several times before we inject our fillers to optimize results and maximize safety.  It’s all about precision and safety at Genesis Med Spa because it really does matter!

Platelet/Protein Rich Plasma
(PRP)

PRP injections are prepared by taking a small sample of your own blood and processing it through a centrifuge in order to super concentrate the platelets. These activated platelets are then injected directly into your problem area(s). Doing so releases growth factors that stimulate and increase the number of reparative cells your body produces.  In addition, the side effects of PRP injections are very limited because the injected substance is derived from your own blood. Therefore, your body will not reject or react negatively to them.

Treatment of the tear troughs requires a skilled and experienced proceduralist who can assess the patient’s skin thickness, color, and quality before determining an appropriate course of treatment.  Platelet-rich plasma is injected into the tear troughs to correct for pigmentary issues that present as dark circles under the eyes.

This also improves/reduces hollowness, removes discoloration, and eliminates dark shadows so that patients look younger and refreshed!
